CORNWALL 1964

In 1964, I went on a camping holiday with a group of friends, to

Newquay in Cornwall.

This photograph was taken outside The Old Albion in Crantock

Village.

This year (2001) My friend Harvey Matsell, living in Canada for some

30 years,   wished to have his photograph taken again outside the

pub, his brother Geof  Matsell and myself again visited Crantock

again,  to re-live the past.

Another photograph taken in 1964, was this one, taken opposite The

Old Albion, in the car park of the Pub then called the Seagull, now

 called the Cornishman.

Bodmin - Glyn "Nipper" Watkins sunbathing.

Known to us from then on as Bodmin Beach!

Again outside the Old Albion in Crantock, someone drove into the

car park in an E-Type, here's Yogi sitting in it.

Here's Bobby Simmonds, lusting after it!

Here are some of us back at the campsite. The old Vauxhall Cresta (1957) cost  me a tenner!
